The 4-week challenge commenced on Monday 7 September, and is designed to enhance your resilience to stress and help you to improve the way that you deal with the wide array of challenges that life throws at you.

About the Resilient Mind Program
The resilient mind program is a 4 week guided program that blends resilience education with mindset tools, workouts, recipes, leader-boards, a social fee and a habit-forming Ritual Board to deliver real and long-lasting benefits to those who participate. 

Key Dates:

  • Challenge commences; Monday 7 September 2020
  • Challenge concludes; Sunday 4 October 2020

Why are we doing this?

These are tough times. Our lives have been turned upside down and significantly impacted by fear, anxiety and panic about coronavirus (COVID-19). Following on from the bushfire disasters over summer, the travel and tourism community has been materially impacted in a number of ways and faces ongoing struggles with all of the uncertainty driven by the impact of COVID-19. 

Common consequences of disease outbreaks include anxiety and panic, depression, anger, confusion and uncertainty, and financial stress, with estimates of between 25% to 33% of the community experiencing high levels of worry and anxiety during similar pandemics*.

To assist members during this very difficult time, AFTA has partnered with the Mind Body Brain Performance Institute to deliver a comprehensive resilience program that provides members with the necessary mental and emotional support, along with a range of proven practical, actionable strategies and tools to help them in the face of adversity.

About Paul Taylor
A former British Royal Navy Aircrew Officer, Paul is a Neuroscientist, Exercise Physiologist and Nutritionist and who is currently completing a PhD in Applied Psychology, where he is developing and testing resilience strategies with the Australian Defence Science Technology Group & The University of Tasmania. 

He has undergone rigorous Military Combat Survival and Resistance-to-Interrogation Training and in 2012, he tested his own resilience by becoming a professional boxer.

Over the years, Paul has helped thousands of individuals to enhance their resilience and become better versions of themselves.
